Irene O’Brien took her Children’s House training at the Montessori College of Dublin, Ireland in 2007 and recently completed Montessori training for the Elementary Level in Bergamo, Italy. Irene’s inspiration to Montessori came from seeing a presentation on Good Shepherd when she was still in high school. She knew it was the beginning of something great! Irene was born in Germany and spent most of her young life traveling Europe and the United States. She moved to a farm with her family before college and discovered the adventures of raising cows, bees and vegetables. She is delighted to bring the joy of discovery to children through the Montessori approach. When she is not planning lessons, you can find her playing music, cooking, hiking or dreaming up a new adventure. She is a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.
Pauline was born in France and moved to the US with her family in 1999. She always had a great love for working with children. When she was sixteen a priest friend mentioned the word Montessori and the rest is history! She received her international Montessori diploma from Montessori Centre International in 2008. She later came across the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and was deeply moved by the beauty of it all. She also completed her Master’s degree in Montessori education from St. Catherine University in 2014. Pauline has a deep passion for Montessori education and loves to share it with others. When she is not in the classroom she enjoys swing dancing, sewing, reading, and spending her time with friends and family. She is a parishioner of Holy Protection of the Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church.
Ms. Emma was born and raised in Colorado and comes from a large Catholic family (being the third oldest of eight children). After graduating high school, she had the opportunity to study abroad in Madrid, Spain for a year, where she developed a deep appreciation for the richness of culture and faith. She has always loved working with children, but it wasn't until she spent time volunteering at an elementary school in Madrid that she began to consider a career in education. After her year in Spain, she attended Franciscan University of Steubenville for two years and had the opportunity to travel further when she spent a semester at Franciscan's campus in Austria. When she is not working with children or traveling, she enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
Ms. T was born and raised here in Denver, Colorado, and has many years of experience working with children of all ages in many different environments and countries. One experience that was extremely rewarding was to help run a summer camp for children in Honduras. Her most recent job was substitute teaching, and she has worked with children from preschool all the way to middle school. She has had the opportunity to substitute teach in various Montessori classrooms, and appreciates the hands on approach. For several years Teresa has also taught confirmation classes to middle school students at her parish. She loves sharing her faith with others, and thinks it's very important to help in the spiritual formation of children. Some of her hobbies include reading, hiking, and biking.
Ms. Jenn was born and raised Catholic in Illinois and wanted to be a teacher when she was 3. Junior year of college she had the opportunity to do the Walt Disney World College program. After her internship ended she put college on hold to gain experience working for Disney and substitute teaching. Afterwards, she resumed college by attending Franciscan University, where she studied abroad in Gaming, Austria. There she fell even more in love with the Catholic faith. She earned her degree in Catechetics. After graduation she worked for Lighthouse Catholic Media, now part of the Augustine Institute, because she wanted to give people tools to grow in their faith. In 2018 she taught Pre-K at Holy Family Parish School in Peoria, Illinois and loved it. Her favorite part was teaching the Faith to her students. Ms. Jenn felt the Lord calling to Denver, so she did in May of 2019.
