At Sophia Montessori Academy, faith is at the heart of everything we do. As a Catholic school, we joyfully nurture the innate spirituality of each child and foster a deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ within the rich tradition of the Catholic Church.
Through the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, children encounter the truths of our faith in a way they can touch, see, and ponder. Using hands-on materials and Scripture-based presentations, they learn the vocabulary of the Church, explore the question “Who are You, Jesus?”, and grow in prayer and reverence.
Our Catholic identity is present in every moment of the day—through morning and meal-time prayers, liturgical celebrations, songs of faith, learning about the Saints and virtues, and preparing for and participating in the Holy Mass. In this sacred rhythm, children come to know not only the teachings of the Church, but the living love of Christ at its center.
