Serving students ages 6-10 years old.

Awakening Wonder and Purpose Through Faith and Discovery

This elementary program offers a dynamic, hands-on learning environment rooted in Cosmic Education and spiritual formation through Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. Blending project-based learning, nature exploration, and Catholic teaching, the program nurtures both intellectual curiosity and spiritual growth—supporting the whole child and inspiring a sense of wonder and stewardship for the world.

Cosmic Education introduces children to the story of creation and humanity’s place in the universe. Through explorations of the cosmos, Earth’s ecosystems, and human history, children discover the deep interconnectedness of all life and are encouraged to care for creation with reverence and responsibility.

Religious Ed

As children enter the Second Plane of development, their growing sense of justice, morality, and right and wrong is met with deeper spiritual formation. In Level II of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, they are introduced to the Maxims—twelve short sayings of Jesus, such as “Love one another”—which serve as guides for reflection, prayer, and action. Children engage with these teachings by copying them in calligraphy, illustrating them, and committing them to memory. Other presentations explore profound mysteries of the faith, including the History of the Kingdom of God, the Mystery of the Incarnation, the Parables of the Kingdom, the Paschal Mystery, prayer, Scripture, and the Sacraments of Eucharist and Baptism.

Biology

Geology, Botany, and Zoology are presented as purposeful and beautiful gifts from God. Through hands-on observation and exploration—both inside and outside the classroom—children develop a deep curiosity about the natural world. They learn to classify plants, animals, and rocks, asking big questions like: How was the Earth formed? and What role do the elements play in shaping it?

Plant studies lead to an understanding of parts and functions, while animal research highlights unique characteristics and classification. These scientific investigations are seamlessly integrated with Language, Math, Geometry, and History, allowing children to see the interconnectedness of all knowledge and the beauty of God’s creation.

History

Through the Great Stories, children embark on an awe-filled journey from the creation of the Universe to modern civilization. Timelines serve as powerful visual tools, helping them grasp the immensity of time—from the age of dinosaurs to the rise of humanity.

As curiosity deepens, students begin to research topics of personal interest, learning how events in time relate to one another. Their presentations become opportunities to share knowledge across subjects and build confidence as young scholars.

A central theme in Montessori history is gratitude for those who came before us. Through the study of the Needs of Man, children ask: What did people do to survive and thrive—and how did they do it? This naturally leads them beyond the classroom. Whether through “Going Out” into the community or “Coming In” with guest experts, students actively seek answers, making history a living, evolving exploration.

Art

Beauty is a fundamental need of the human person—and a vital pillar of our culture. In the elementary classroom, artistic study is both structured and exploratory. Children engage with a wide range of materials as they discover the many ways humans express themselves through art.

Beginning with the earliest cave drawings, they come to understand how art served as one of humanity’s first languages. From ancient symbols to the works of Monet and beyond, students explore art through genres, individual artists, and hands-on experimentation. Each encounter fosters creativity, appreciation, and a deeper connection to the universal human desire to create beauty.

Geography

The study of the Earth—its origins, structure, and dynamic forces—naturally intertwines with History and Biology. Through captivating stories and big questions, children’s curiosity is sparked, driving them to seek understanding.

Hands-on experiments bring abstract concepts to life: volcanoes erupt before their eyes, mountain ranges rise through layered materials, and ocean currents swirl in classroom models. These concrete experiences make vast scientific ideas tangible, empowering children to explore and comprehend the complex processes that have shaped our planet.
